A genuinely spartan way into a Compass at Rs 17.99 lakh, and it drives like the others: same 170 hp diesel, same frequency-selective damping, alloys. What you give up is most of the features. No sunroof, a 3.5in cluster, four speakers, an inflator kit instead of a spare wheel, and nothing connected. Since October 2026 there is an automatic too, at Rs 21.99 lakh: the cheapest automatic Compass, and the Rs 4 lakh buys the 9-speed gearbox plus cruise control and auto hold, which the manual Sport goes without.
