A genuinely spartan way into a Compass at Rs 17.99 lakh, and it drives like the others: same 170 hp diesel, same frequency-selective damping, six airbags, alloys. What you give up is most of the kit. No sunroof, no cruise control at all, a 3.5in cluster, four speakers, an inflator kit instead of a spare wheel, and nothing connected. The next rung costs Rs 5.64 lakh more, so go in knowing this is a big step down, not a small one.
This is where the Compass starts feeling like its price: dual-pane panoramic sunroof, the 10.1in screen with navigation, dual-zone climate, keyless go, wireless charging, leatherette and Jeep's connected services. Worth the stretch from the Sport if you can find the money, and the automatic is the one to have, because cruise control only comes with it.
Rs 1.20 lakh over the Longitude (O2) manual buys 18in alloys, LED tail lamps, rain-sensing wipers, a power tailgate and a memory driver's seat. The catch is that Jeep only prices it as a manual, so there is no cruise control on this trim at any price, and no automatic to move up to without changing trim entirely.

Features per trim follow Jeep's official brochure matrix and model page. Two things to know: Jeep publishes no per-trim safety table anywhere, so airbag, ABS, ESC, TPMS and camera entries are model-level claims applied across the range, and cruise control is fitted to automatics only. The Trail and Track Editions are left out because their advertised prices bundle a mandatory accessory kit, and the Limited (O) automatic is left out because Jeep prices it at no postcode. Verify with a Jeep dealer before buying.
