- The state's own tax exemptions page still carries a 1993 order exempting battery, CNG and solar vehicles from tax for five years, and nothing we can read says whether it reaches a new CNG car today. Telangana's rate schedule, which we have now read, charges every fuel the same, so that is what we charge a CNG car; if the old order still applies, a CNG buyer pays less than this.
