1.2L mStallion TCMPFi Turbo ZNG (petrol + CNG): The low running cost 3XO that still drives like a turbo: full power on gas, and the twin cylinders sit under a flat boot floor. The boot shrinks to 270 litres from 364 on petrol and diesel, and it comes only with the 6-speed manual.

What the MX EDGE CNG MT costs on the road
The price above is ex-showroom. With road tax, registration and the rest of the charges counted in, the MX EDGE CNG MT comes to ₹10,43,310 on the road in Itanagar and ₹11,69,585 in Bengaluru.
Road tax is set by the state rather than by the maker, so where you register decides ₹1,26,275 of what you pay for the identical car. Of the 25 states we can price this variant in, Arunachal Pradesh comes out lowest and Karnataka highest. You pay it where you live, so take this as a reason to check the quote you were given, not as a way to save money.
Comprehensive own-damage cover is on top of both figures: it has been market-priced since 2007 and moves with the insurer, the cover value and your no-claim bonus, so no honest single number exists for it. Budget for it from real quotes.

The full story
At ₹9.99L ex-showroom this is the 11th of 39 XUV 3XO variants by price, level with the REVX M (O) Turbo Petrol AT. MX EDGE is sold this one way, as the CNG 6-speed manual. Worth a hard look before you sign: the cheapest MX3 actually costs ₹70,000 less than this variant and buys headlamps (Bi-LED projector against Halogen), though it gives up rear parking camera. Worth knowing that the MX3 is not sold with the CNG with the 6-speed manual, so the move changes the powertrain too.
More about the MX EDGE trim
The cheapest way into the factory CNG 3XO, and sold only with it: the 10.25in touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, cruise control, a rear camera and rear AC vents. It keeps bi-halogen projectors where MX3 has bi-LED units, and there is no sunroof.
Mahindra XUV 3XO MX EDGE: the questions people ask
Price, on-road total, engine and what this trim goes without.
- What is the price of the Mahindra XUV 3XO MX EDGE CNG MT?
- ₹9.99L, ex-showroom. That makes it 11th of 39 by price, the same money as the REVX M (O) Turbo Petrol AT.
- What is the on-road price of the Mahindra XUV 3XO MX EDGE CNG MT?
- Expect ₹10,43,310 in Itanagar and ₹11,69,585 in Bengaluru. Road tax is set by the state rather than by the maker, so the identical car costs ₹1,26,275 more at one end of the country than the other. That is the ex-showroom price plus road tax, registration and the rest of the charges, across the 25 states we have verified. It does not include comprehensive own-damage cover, which every insurer prices differently.
- Which engine and gearbox does the Mahindra XUV 3XO MX EDGE CNG MT have?
- The CNG, 111 PS, with the 6-speed manual. The maker's figure for it is 24.7 km/kg.
- What features does the Mahindra XUV 3XO MX EDGE CNG MT get?
- The features worth naming on this trim: Rear parking camera, Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto, Cruise control, Touchscreen (10.25"), Speakers (4) and Airbags (6).
- What does the Mahindra XUV 3XO MX EDGE CNG MT miss out on?
- The MX3 above it adds headlamps (Bi-LED projector against Halogen), for ₹70,000 less. That is a different engine or gearbox though: the MX3 is not sold with this one. It would also cost you rear parking camera, so it is not purely a step up.
- Is the MX EDGE the right XUV 3XO to buy?
- That depends on where the value sits across the whole range rather than on this trim alone, and we work it out variant by variant on our Mahindra XUV 3XO which-variant page. The short answer: pay for a step only where the features it adds are ones you would actually use.
