Our take

The real reason to pay ₹0.31L more for the Nexon EV Empowered+: level 2 (core suite) ADAS, 360° camera and blind spot monitor. The useful extras on top: touchscreen (12.3" against 7") and vehicle-to-load (V2L). The rest of the additions are minor trim. At that price, we would stretch.

  • The Nexon EV is electric, so it will be the cheapest of these to run
  • The Nexon EV Empowered+ is the strongest of the two at 145 PS
  • Also on the Nexon EV Empowered+: JBL system with Dolby Atmos, single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats and front parking sensors, and some minor trim beyond that
  • Going to the Nexon EV Empowered+, you give up all-wheel disc brakes, wired CarPlay / Android Auto and 60:40 split rear seat, which the Urban Cruiser Hyryder S Hybrid keeps
Choose the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder S Hybrid if
You would rather keep the ₹0.31L than pay for kit you will not miss
Choose the Tata Nexon EV Empowered+ if
You will do long stints in this car and want the daily comforts
