It went on sale on 26 August 2026 and a month later the reviews you will find are all of the electric Tomahawk, not this plug-in hybrid, so there is no road test, long-term test or owner report to go on− Nobody has crash tested it either. The three-star Global NCAP rating you may see attached to the Hector name is from 2019 and belongs to a different car on a different platform− Treat the headline economy claim as a best case. MotorOctane's reading is that MG's figure of more than 50 km/l only works if you drive 100 to 150 km a day and plug in regularly, and that on long highway runs, where the petrol engine does the work, you should expect something nearer 22 to 25 km/l. Nobody has measured either number yet
