Our take

The real reason to pay ₹0.04L more for the Windsor EV Essence Pro: tyre pressure monitor, SOS emergency call (E-call / B-call) and JBL system with Dolby Atmos. The useful extras on top: touchscreen (15.6" against 10.25") and vehicle-to-load (V2L). The rest of the additions are minor trim. At that price, we would stretch.

  • Only the Hyundai Alcazar seats 7, worth knowing if you need the space
  • The Windsor EV is electric, so it will be the cheapest of these to run
  • Also on the Windsor EV Essence Pro: single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, speakers (9 against 8) and regenerative braking, and some minor trim beyond that
  • Going to the Windsor EV Essence Pro, you give up ADAS (Level 2 (full suite) against Level 2 (core suite)), blind spot monitor and dual-zone climate control, which the Alcazar Platinum (Diesel) keeps
Choose the Hyundai Alcazar Platinum (Diesel) if
You would rather keep the ₹0.04L than pay for kit you will not miss
Choose the MG Windsor EV Essence Pro if
You live on your phone in the car and want the screens to keep up
