Worth knowing before you sign
- The costliest line to cross is ₹10 lakh ex-showroom: petrol cars just above it pay ₹20,000 more road tax than cars just below, because the 10% rate applies to the whole price, not only the part above the line.
- Electric cars pay no road tax here: at ₹19.03 lakh ex-showroom, that is ₹1,90,300 that petrol buyers pay and electric buyers do not.
